Separate three kinds of absence

A discovery problem means the website or key pages are not being found. An entity problem means pages are accessible but the system cannot establish who the company is. A recommendation problem means the company is understood but lacks enough evidence to be selected in a comparison or buying answer.

  • Discovery: inspect robots, status codes, canonicals, sitemaps, and internal links.
  • Entity: standardize the legal name, brand, offerings, address, and contact details.
  • Recommendation: publish use cases, delivery evidence, cases, credentials, and independent references.

Build a verifiable brand fact chain

Create a stable brand-facts page and reuse the same core facts on the homepage, About page, service pages, and structured data. Important facts should be present in crawlable text, not only in a footer, image, or form.

External company profiles should match the official site. A self-declaration without corroboration leaves more room for similarly named entities to be confused.

Retest with real customer questions

Create a fixed set of 10 to 20 decision questions. Record the platform, date, answer, citations, brand position, and competitors. Retest the same set after changes instead of treating one screenshot as a trend.

  • What is the brand and which company operates it?
  • Who is the offering for and which problem does it solve?
  • Which verifiable differences matter against alternatives?
  • What delivery evidence exists for a market or industry?
